a couple of questions

I have never yet been able to keep a rosemary plant alive. We like it and use it a lot, so last spring I bought four plantsstuck them in my garden and basically ignored them. Naturally, they're thriving. They're also beginning to take over my herb garden-they're all over knee high, and more than a foot across. I've recently expanded the garden, and I'd like to move them all to the new end. I've heard.been told that rosemary is persnickety and if it's happy to leave it alone, so my question is, will they survive the transplant? I've got a creeping thyme that's creeping everywhere. I also got gifted with a strawberry jar, and I'm thinking of filling it with the thyme and other creeping herbs. Got any recommendations? I've got *hundreds* of irises. I dug up a lot of them last year and moved them around, and they seem to be doing fine. I know that 'new' irises don't bloom for the first year or two, but I don't know if I should expect these to bloom or not. They're from an established bed (the neighbor says that bed's been there for at least 10 years) but does moving them 'unestablish' them? Will they bloom this year? Are chives and onion grass the same thing? My chive plant didn't survive the winter, but the onion grass is taking over the edge of the driveway. If they're the same thing, I'll just move a clump into the garden. If not, that means I need a new chive plant. I've never been able to keep a bay tree alive either, but I see where mine has new growth on it. Yay! And I planted a bunch of morning glory seeds today along the fence around the driveway. Maybe this year I'll have pretty flowers instead of ugly chain link. Once I figure out what to do with the rosemary, then I'll have an idea of how much room is left and what I still want. Basil, definitely, and lavender in the sunny corner, and...
