A day at the beach

A day at the beach

Since there isn’t much gardening going on, I thought you might like to see some peaceful pictures and dream about the coming spring; being able to get your hands into the sun-warmed earth, breaking the clumps of dirt up in anticipation of another growing season.

A day at the beach

Jemma-dog (yes THAT dog), my husband and I went for a drive not long ago and stopped at the side of the road to walk down by the ocean and take some pictures close to where I live. The area used to be a dock of some sort to off- or on-load supplies. The road juts out into the water for a short distance and then drops off abruptly.
And perhaps because of this man-made protuberance, on either side of this crumbling abandoned road are two lovely beaches. It is a perfect private spot that I intend to use a lot from now on, and I wish that I had known that it was accessible from land years ago, although I had seen it many times from the water side while passing by on the boat.
