We took a trip to Home Depot today to price materials for my 2007 raised bed garden. It will be about $10 per 2″x8″, so we’re looking at around $50 for lumber, and about a half truck-load of topsoil, which I will have to call around on. It’s worth it for a summer of fun, and plenty of fresh veggies and herbs to eat!
While we were there, I got my seed starting materials, some celery seeds and 5 more varieties of herbs to grow in pots. I got a grow light bulb for the fixture I have, but it’s too short! I will have to exchange it for the 24″ bulb.
Here are some pics for ya. The first is the stuff I bought today, the second two are all the herb and veggie varieties I am growing this year, and the second are the various flower seeds and bulbs I have for my budding butterfly/hummingbird area out back!
