OK, Magic Erasers rock. They are the anchor of my cleaning arsenal and I’m always finding new things to do with them. A few weeks ago I found yet another use. When I sweat and wear silver I tarnish the silver and get a nice green stain around my neck. I used a Magic Eraser on the chain and the pendant and it worked like a charm (no pun intended!). So here I am, rushing out the door with a green ring around my neck. Well, a Magic Eraser is a sponge right?
WRONG. I ran it around my neck gently and while it removed the green, it also left chemical burns on my skin. The picture of what happened to this little boy are exactly the same as the wounds on my neck.

Yes. The label does say not to use on skin but sometimes we do without thinking (or reading warnings.) I feel like a true idiot but as my friend said, I’m only an idiot if I do it again.
