I wanted to post about a few resources that I know of- may have been mentioned in the past but I am new to this community: The best book I've ever read about being a "tightwad" (and enjoying it) is The Complete Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn, which started as a newsletter she sent via the mail. It has a millioon random topics on things you can make with discarded items, recipes, cost comparisons, etc. Keep in mind it's written by a rural Maine mom. A good recipe book is the More-with-Less Cookbook by Doris Janzen Longacre. It is a collection of recipes assumbled by the Mennonites that are heathy and affordable to create.
