A month or so ago, you all gave me great guidance on my mint patch. I have now cleared most of it - continually going back in and picking out more pieces of root as they start to sprout and become identifiable (you were not kidding about the runners - sheesh!) I went ahead and started planting all of my little baby seedlings int he space, and they survived the transplant - HOWEVER, there's tons of little seedling growing up around what I planted. Mine are larger, since I started them awhile ago, so I can tell them apart for now, but I'm wondering what the chances of these little plants being useful are. The space used to be an herb garden, and the mint must have crowded the rest of the herbs out - and I can already see some rosemary coming back - so I'm wondering if these might be baby herb plants that self seeded and finally have room to grow. Likely? Or not? I'm super new at the gardening thing, and wrote this year off as a learning year before I even started, so I'm very prepared to let these little guys grow and see what happens. Thoughts? Thankyou!
