Alstroemeria vs. Nasturtium

Alstroemeria vs. Nasturtium

Here's my question of the week. It requires a little bit of explanation... I threw some Alstroemeria seeds into some pots of soil, but then after reading the requirements for germination of said plant, I figured it wasn't going to sprout until next spring. So, then I planted some Nasturtiums in the pots, thinking that would give me summer flowers this year, and then maybe the Alstroemeria would come up later. The thing is, now that the Nasturtiums are growing, the Alstroemeria has decided to come up as well. I don't know how well either of these plants do with being crowded together, and I'm wondering about perhaps killing off some of the Nasturtiums... I like Alstroemeria's blooms better, even though they aren't edible (as far as I know). Hmmm. Any suggestions/comments? These are the Alstroemeria I planted. "Ligtu hybrids," they're called.
