another fin. aid question
I can no longer can recieve financial aid because I exceeded the maximum time frame-6 years and didn't graduate. My grades are not the problem. They consider scholarships offered through my school a form of aid and can not apply for those either, in the past I've recieved the Hispanic scholarship and various other grants which I now can't. I also cannot recieve sub or unsub. govt. loans. They said I can appeal it, showing examples of why I didn't graduate in time and why I can't afford to pay my own way. Does anyone have experience with these sort of appeals and time frames? background: i'm an adult, head of household. Single mom of 2. I live in Texas. I'm to graduate w/ a double degree. If I knew that going for 2 degrees would result in such a mess I would not have gone that route. I need 4 classes to graduate, if hopefully the degree plans haven't changed.
