Another tomato question + peppers

Another tomato question + peppers

About 4 weeks ago I started seeing some tomatoes on my little cherry tomato plant. The first one I saw is now a regular cherry tomato size, but still green and as hard as can be. The weather is generally in the 70's and low 80's here, and I water it every other day. The tomatoes all seem to be growing normally, but how long does it take for them to turn red? Also, my fiance's peppers (I think they're green Habanero's, but I'm not entirely sure) are getting pretty big. The biggest is about 2.5 inches, but it's also very hard still, doesn't give at all when I squeeze gently. We have no idea when they'll be ready to harvest. He thought they might fall off when they're ready, but I don't know if that is the case. I know it's hard to tell, not knowing exactly what they are, but if anyone has any advice, I'd love it.
