I've been a member/silent lurker of this community for awhile, now, and have yet to post either of my bedrooms until now (I am a college student with an apartment and a bedroom at my parent's house). I love seeing all the different rooms, so I thought I'd share, too. :) Here is my apartment bedroom, which I jokingly call my Snow White room; I have such tiny furniture, I feel like Snow White in the seven dwarfs' house whenever I'm in there. It just kind of happened that way. I was on a strict budget while decorating; I got most of my furniture from other people for free, bought picture frames and little things at flea markets and half-off sales, etc. I also have a smattering of stuff that I've had for years. If we were allowed to paint, I would do so in a heartbeat, but that is sadly not the case. Most of the time, though, I don't mind the cream walls. My bed is itty-bitty, mostly because it's a twin and so low to the ground (because I don't have a box spring... hey, I'm poor!) The headboard was actually my mom's when she was a kid. It's really old (understatement of the year). A couple of pieces of my artwork (Uh... I like trees). Close-up of bookshelf. I found it at a flea market and painted it white. My book collection is split up unevenly between my apartment and my parent's house. Needless to say, I have waaaay more than this tucked away in various places. It's kind of inconvenient to have such a tiny bookshelf when you're a huge book nerd like me and always acquiring them, but it works well when I have to move. Also, all of my dvds aren't displayed (except The Office.. :D) because I keep them in a cd case with sleeves. Saves a lot of room when you don't have much storage. My mom gave me the desk, which I painted and gave new knobs. The little bench is another hand-me-down that I painted and re-upholstered. I had a little bit of fabric left-over, so I sewed a little pillow cover, which you can see on my bed in the first picture. And, a badly done panorama, just to give the complete picture. The one wall you don't see is just my closet doors. All of these photos can be found on my Flickr page, as well.
