Apartment Hunting and Free Legal Aid

Apartment Hunting and Free Legal Aid

We're looking for (relatively) cheap apartments in the Northwestern University area for grad school and a job. I've been looking on Craig's List and the university site, but we've only come up with a couple finds. I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions of where to look for apartments, because the one we're looking at is similar in size to my bedroom here (which is pretty big, it's bigger than my stupid dorm room was at college). It isn't bad, but the kitchen is like one of those plastic kitchens I had when I was 3. I really like the format Craig's List has for searching. Can anyone suggest anything similar to Craig's List to look for apartments in the Chicago area? Also (for my mom), has anyone in the Chicago area had experience with the free legal aid through the ARK (they're a Jewish community center thing)? Any suggestions for dealing with them? Any other suggestions for free legal aid in Chicago and/or experiences? Thanks for any help. You guys are the best. :)
