Astroturf, or how to keep my bathroom clean

Astroturf, or how to keep my bathroom clean

I'm on a roll here! OK, need advice on a non-laundry-related topic (you guys are so good!) I have two cats. One of them is really obnoxious and kicks the litter like crazy when she uses the box. We started out with a large rectangular pan, then affixed a taller border to it (still kicked it over). Then we went to an enclosed pan and she kicked it out of the doorway. We now took a giant Tupperware tub and cut a hole in the lid. The cats have no problem getting in and out of the thing, but the evildoer still manages to kick an impressive amount of litter onto my bathroom floor. And then it gets tracked all over the house. I can handle cleaning it up if it kinda stays in place, but it spreeeeeeads. We've had a kitty mat with prongs in it designed to keep the spread of the litter to a minimum, and the biggest size of those is insufficient. We got this idea to cover the bathroom floor with astroturf - the really plasticky harsh kind. Aside from the hoped-for improvement in the spread of this stuff, we just think it would look cool. However, we are having trouble finding any (Google is not being our friend). The thing is, it can't be the newer softer stuff designed to feel more like grass because it'll get torn up, and also, I prefer it not be green (our bathroom is cranberry-red, and it'll be just too christmasy for my tastes). But if that's all we can find, I'll take it. Do you know where we could find some? And I'm not getting rid of this cat.
