At-Home Activities

At-Home Activities

I have a middle-aged client who is stuck at home after foot surgery; she wants me to help her come up with activities to reduce boredom and "keep her sane." (She also struggles with mental illness, and thanks to the surgery, she's unable to see her therapist right now.) My google-fu is failing... do you know of any websites/links that might help in this situation? She does not have internet access, so I'm looking for ideas that I can print out and bring to her. She told me that she's looking for "physical, spiritual, and emotional recovery," in addition to boredom reduction. If you know of any helpful websites, please point me in the right direction. Thanks! ETA: Sorry I can't respond to everyone individually, but the ideas so far have been great. :-) Please keep them coming! One caveat -- I can't really do things like play games with her (I am a MH case manager, and Medicaid has cracked down on what we are and are not allowed to do... we can't do anything "direct", as we are considered more of a "connecting" agency. In this case, my role is to help her come up with things that she can do on her own (or with friends, etc). Thanks again. :)
