Here are some photos of my apartment in metro Detroit. I just moved in Aug 1st.
The above two photos are a left and right view of the living area, separated by nine feet or so of vertical blinds from ceiling to floor. We chose the green for that accent wall.
This is the dining area beside the walkthrough kitchen (which is very standard and hasn’t been personalized yet). Also, a shot of the entertainment center which shows my inability to hide all of my media; I’m not a fan of exposed records, CDs etc but it’s practical.
Above you will see the obligatory cat tree, tucked in a corner at the end of our foyer. It is the only place our cat can escape from the boston terror terrier, Gigi. Also, a second bedroom made into my boyfriend’s clutter-grabber. His electronics will take a while to organize but I’m glad to have a designated room for such a mess.
Entering my bedroom, you can see the baker’s rack and pegboard. I painted a light pink accent wall, found a black heaboard off Craigslist and used inspiration from French boutiques.
Yes, it’s a sheen curtain over blinds. It looks good to me.
The two simple shelves by my window are an example of something I saw on Flickr and made my own. Right now the baker’s rack ($30 craigslist) holds my own clutter. It was partially painted pink.
Perhaps not the best quality or most revealing, but I wanted to share some of my space. We moved from a one bedroom to a two and I’m having a blast filling up the extra square footage.
