Baby Blue Spruce
So after Wall-e came out, you could send in something and get a living (!) tree sapling in the mail. I got it, put it in a small pot and watered it. After a few weeks it started sprouting new growth and has been doing awesome ever since. Except now I'm stuck wondering what to do with it. I think it's gotten too big for its current pot. I can repot it to some ginormous pot, but I live in a condo and cannot plant anything. Besides, I worry that if I planted it anywhere it'd go crazy and I'd never be able to move it with me. Is it worth keeping it in a pot? I haven't really heard of people keeping trees in containers before (bonzai trees dont count, I'm not going to preen mine). I mean, this is meant to grow huge, tall and pretty, right? Will it grow to a decent size in one of those huge pots? Will it stunt it's growth if, 5 years later, I can finally plant it in the ground? Should I just give up on giving this little plant a good home in a pot? Not sure what I'm asking, but I think that I'm worried I'm being cruel to this poor tree by keeping it in a pot. Help me out! EDIT: It's in the title, but it's a blue spruce. Thanks!
