I was wondering if anyone has had any luck with bat boxes?
I know I have bats around because this one was living in my patio umbrella for a few days. While I’d rather he didn’t make himself too cozy there, I would like to keep him and his family around.
I’ve found sites that offer to sell boxes, tell me how to make make boxes and to put it somewhere between 10 – 20 feet high facing south, or southeast on either a pole or my house. I’m thinking a tree, but is there a reason that’s not suggested? Or does anyone know a good site for information on this?
I figure fewer mosquitoes in the garden is always a good thing.
