Ooh, this is the perfect place to show off my before & after photos of my current apartment. The transformation was pretty amazing! The photos are a bit old, taken in August and October of last year. (The only things that have changed are a new bookshelf set for my TV, and a lot more clutter.)
Don’t let the pictures fool you, my mom and I are real estate photographers with a talent for making rooms look much bigger than they really are. I have two rooms that are 4.5 tatami each, which is around 7ft. x 9ft.
…and After…
Through the kitchen door you can see my front door, mini-entrance-hall, and door to the toilet.
The brown & blue curtains cover the sliding door into my sink/shower area. The green curtains cover my washer/dryer.
This part of my bedroom really does look much better with the new shelving. I have a photo from February showing it off here…
Except I took it at night so it’s really dark and the curtains are drawn. Oops!
However, you can see the curtains really well here, so I can explain: That’s actually one panel of the brown and one panel of the blue (cut in half). I used the extra curtain panels to cover two very ugly pieces of furniture I inherited from the previous owner. Cheap and guaranteed to match!
