Best money saving tips?
I'm always looking for ways to save money, so what is everyone's best/most creative money savers? Putting a 2 liter bottle full of water in the tank of the toilet displaces and saves how much water you use when you flush the toilet. I also plan out meals for two weeks before going grocery shopping so I don't end up with unneeded stuff. And, of course, I make sure I have a full stomach so impulse buys are out of picture. Unplugging any type of charger or big square (boxy looking) plugs also drastically reduces the amount of electricity that you use. It's called vampire power - even though nothing is actually charging or plugged into it, it will still use just as much power as if something was. Some surge protectors even do this. If you're able, hanging your laundry out to dry obviously eliminates the use of the dryer. Also, the sun will whiten whites better than actual bleach (so, not having to buy bleach is another few dollars that stays in the wallet, as well). Just curious! Please share!
