With all the recent talks about Feminine product, I thought I’d share this info.
Go into any local women’s clinic/Planned parenthood/or Dept. of human services (same place as food stamps) and ask if they offer a program for birth control. I;m in New York and I’m on the Family PLanning Benefit program. I get my anunal exam, and pills for free. They also ofer some pre-natal care for couples trying to have kids.
It is based on income, but I qualified when I was making close to $10 an hour, full time, and had insurance.
Also, planned parethood might have packs for cheaper if you don’t qualify. My pills would be $20 per pack (if I didn’t have FPBP), and a quick websearch shows them at being close to $30+ a pack.
As much as I hate the idea of taking them, a day and a half of cramping and super light flow (sometimes not even any) that happens leik clockwork, is alot better then the craziness I had before.
