I used the pancake recipes here, but I just couldn't quite replicate the kind of pancakes I used to make when I used Bisquick. This motivated me to do a search to see if I could find a recipe for what's IN Bisquick. This is what I found. I haven't tried it yet, but I probably will after I get some powdered milk. Hopefully MAKING it will be cheaper than just going out and buying a box! Baking Mix (Bisquick) 9 c Flour; sifted 1/3 c Baking powder 1 c Powdered milk; plus 2 tb Powdered milk 4 ts Salt 1 3/4 c Vegetable shortening Sift all dry ingredients. Cut shortening into flour until mixture resembles coarse cornmeal. Store well covered in a cool, dry place. You can use this for waffles, pancakes, biscuits and for coating chicken. No sugar has been added to this recipe so that you can add what you want for the individual needs of your finished product.
