OMG my sage is blooming! I didn't even know sage bloomed. The first year it grew, then it started to droop. By winter it looked like a spindly, ugly little plant that I was going to pull up. It was making my lavender and rosemary look bad! Since I am not the kind of person to give up on a plant until it has gone brown and dry, I decided to trim it when the weather started warming up. Well, I am glad I did because it started putting out new shoots, has spread out all over the place and grew buds. Yesterday afternoon, I saw little purple flowers that sort of look like Snapdragons opening. I am so excited! To think I almost pulled it up. So now I ask, what am I suppose to do with it now? Do I iust let it bloom or am I suppose to pinch them off to keep the plant around? It is getting a little wide too, so should I prune it or let it be? Those little blue flowers are going to look so good next to the Cinnamon Dianthus and Candytuffs I have in the same garden.
