Hi everyone, I'd love to get a reference book on gardening, but every time I hit a bookstore with an intention to do so, I am overwhelmed by the choice available. I don't really know what makes a good, trustworthy gardening book. Do you have a favorite? A bit of background. I mostly grow edible plants. I've been growing herbs in containers for a while, and may have an actual outdoor garden next year so my options will be a bit wider. I strongly prefer to garden organically, don't care if books have lots of pretty pictures, and tend to get irritated when gardening books start with a list of "necessary equipment," much of which doesn't seem all that necessary. Oh, and I'm in Massachusetts. Thanks so much, I'm really looking forward to a more informed trip to a bookstore!
