Bow chica bow-wow.
It's lush, it's luscious, and it's about to be pretty stinkin' tasty. This is my Hungarian Wax Pepper (I'm pretty sure) who is nearly ready to eat. A gathering of Big Red Cherry Peppers (the aka tomato-imposters of 2008) I planted a different variety of green beans this year (Contender) and I'm in love with their purple flowers. In case anyone was curious as to where the bean comes from out of the flower - they push the blossom off themselves! (I had no idea until I saw this little guy.) Does the blossom not look like the head of some mystical animal? The itty bitty little guys are popping up all over! I don't know that I posted about this, but we had some carrots that never made it to the fridge. Somehow they got to hang out near the dryer (go figure?) for a few days, and I guess they're fans of warm places, because they'd sprouted (tops and roots!) so I chopped off the growing parts and planted them. I'm about to separate them from one another into bigger (deeper) pots. And I made a very happy boy this morning by showing J these: I'm a container gardener in Central Texas (Zone 8?)
