So, next weekend I plan on buying a used car. I have been researching reputable dealers in this area, and have made a list. I plan to take $3k in cash with me, to pay on the spot. I’m looking for something used that runs well, but I’m not too picky as far as looks.
If you were me – that is, a female going car shopping for the first time – what would you want to know? Is there something you wish you had known before buying? Absolutely any info or experience is appreciated here. I am also looking for car sites that might help educate me a bit. Edmunds.com has been a great starting place.
Also, say you had $3k for a car – what price range would you try to aim for if you didn’t want to go over the $3k? I was thinking $2500, but I’m really not sure of fees and taxes.
Finally, if you are in Cincinnati – are there any car dealers you like and can recommend?
