I’m not sure if it was in this community or not that someone posted recently about selling coupons on eBay, but today I discovered the flip side — buying coupons on eBay. It looks like a great way to save money. For example, I saw an auction for 10 coupons for 1.00 off my favorite brand of laundry detergent. This was a buy-it-now auction and the combined sale price plus shipping was $1.70…for $10 worth of coupons! Of course, since most coupons are good for only a few months (I think the ones I saw were good until the end of the year), you’d need to buy a bunch of items at once to take advantage of all the coupons. Still, for nonperishables I think it’s a great idea. If you can find a sale and use the coupons as well it would be an even better deal.
