Almost every time I make a cake, it rises too much in the middle and ends up resembling a volcano…
…Any ideas as to where I’m going wrong?

EDIT: thanks for all of the feedback. Most people agreed with what my Mum said, that I just need to slice the mound off and flip the cake to decorate. However, I’m also going to try the other suggestions. I also liked the idea for making lemon drizzle in a bundt tin, so that the drizzle drizzles in a prettier manner! Thanks! :)
