Can this plant be saved?
Last month, my husband received a cyclamen plant from his boss as a birthday present. It was very beautiful and had been doing pretty well, considering that I am really terrible about forgetting to water plants. Because I am so terrible, several of the leaves and a couple of flowers on the plant died. On Sunday, my MIL was over and saw the plant and made a huge deal out of the dead leaves on it, she took the plant into another room, saying she was going to take care of it for us. When she came back, the poor thing was... plucked. Absolutely plucked. She removed at least half of the leaves and flowers. Since then, the plant has looked absolutely horrible. The remaining leaves are turning yellow very quickly, and the entire plant is limp. It is so limp that it's literally flat across the top of the pot. Can I save this? Is there anything special I should be doing? I would hate to lose this plant and I'm pretty irritated by what happened. I looked up care sheets to make sure that everything else was ideal and the only thing wanting was some sunlight. Several websites also suggested fertilizer, but I'm kinda nervous about doing anything else to it. It definitely does not need water right now, and I'm kind of wondering if she also overwatered in on Sunday. =/
