Car Insurance Woes
This morning I was surprised (and by suprised, read "horrified")to get a letter from an insurance company claiming against an accident on 28th Feb. I wasn't IN an accident that I know of. I checked my diary and I was in college that day. Nowheres OPEN til Monday so I can't find out what they're talking about, and so I'm a bit panicky and flaily. The only thing I can think is either they have the wrong registration, or I've pulled out somewhere, and someone's braked and someone behind's gone into them. But even if that happened, wouldn't the guy BEHIND be liable for driving too close? How much trouble am I likely to be in? Is it easy to prove if it wasn't me? If I DID pull out and never realised, am I liable? Is it just insurance, or would I be in police trouble too if it was that? I'm in the UK if that helps. I'm just really panicking about this.
