Castor oil gopher control
Gophers can do the backstroke in my sandy-loam soil. We put up Barn Owl boxes in the barn and have had a nesting pair for 13 years, still with the gophers. We have tried everything. I found granulated castor oil at Farm Supply. It claims to repel gophers for up to a year. Broadcast and watered in, it chased the gophers to the perimeter. This was 2 months ago and still no activity in areas applied (a 1/4 acre of a 156 acre ranch). If you have tried this method I am anxious to hear your remarks. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/chevyanna/IMG_1874.jpg I'm scared to walk across the sink hole as I have sunk to my thigh in a gopher den http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/chevyanna/5-17-09.jpg Turning of the hot pile http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v435/chevyanna/5-17-09003.jpg love carnivorous birds!
