Cat grass!

Cat grass!

I think I mentioned a bit ago that I had gotten several cat grass and catnip kits. I started just one last week - it had so many seeds that I filled the included container and then also put some in a tiny pot I had, and still had some left over. Well, all those had sprouted by the third day and are now about 6" tall already! Today, I transplanted that first batch into a sort of windowsill planter, and started some more that I'll transplant into the other side next week, as I'm sure this new batch will be just as tall as the first batch by then. So my kitties are sittin' pretty with all the munchy greens :) Next week I'm definitely going to be getting some things to plant outdoors, I'm just not sure what yet. I always feel like my low level windows (I live in a daylight basement place) are very exposed and everyone can look in. So I want to get some things to screen the window a bit. I don't have any roses, so I'm thinking one rose bush, for a big space in front of one of the windows (maybe I'll squeeze a couple in there though) and then I want anything big and bushy, maybe some bunchgrasses or something to just obscure the visual path into my windows. And then more flowers, of course :)
