caterpillars eating tomatoes

caterpillars eating tomatoes

You may not remember, but this is my first time ever doing tomatoes. Over the last few days, I’ve removed and killed 6 caterpillars from one of my potted tomato plants, and 3 from my strawberries. They only ruined one tomato though.. and I’ve been obsessively going out and searching for more of them on all my plants. So far they’ve only been found on one of my tomato plants. I’m just wondering if there is anything I can do to keep them away other than patiently inspecting the plants for them?
My first tomato (from the caterpillar plant too- eep!)will be fully ripened in the next few days! :D I’m trying to resist going ahead and picking it and let it finish in a window.. I’m so worried a caterpillar is going to attack it!
