caterpillars on strawberries, how high to mound potatoes

caterpillars on strawberries, how high to mound potatoes

1) i noticed a bunch of holes in the leaves of my strawberry plants, and upon closer inspection, i found little green caterpillars are eating up the leaves! can anyone tell me what these buggers are and how to deal with them? will bacillus thuringiensis (BT) work on these? will it cause trouble for the strawberries that are still forming? Photobucket Photobucket 2) this is my first year planting potatoes. i dug them in a trench, and have since filled in the trench as they've grown taller. i'm wondering how much longer/how high do i continue to mound dirt around the potatoes? and am i supposed to be burying and leaves/stems or am i supposed to be trying to keep them from being buried? potatoes starting to sprout in trench Photobucket potatoes now that trench is filled in Photobucket

Hi. I’m having the same problem with caterpillars on my strawberry plants. Did you ever find out what they are called and how to kill them? Thanks!
