celery in containers–is it feasible?
I bought some celery plants a couple days ago on a whim. Now I have them home and am unsure what they really need. I don't have a label to guide me. I planted two plants in a smallish container about 4 inches deep of dirt by 8 inches wide. It seems like this container is not large enough for them to grow into full-grown celery plants. Does celery need anything specific? I've never grown celery--not even in a garden--and while I have done some online research, I would love to hear some first-hand experience. My deck has Eastern exposure with sun most of the day (until about 3 in the afternoon). I'm more than happy to buy larger containers for them. Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance. :)
