Cell-phone plans

Cell-phone plans

So my cellphone contract with Sprint/Nextel expires at the end of September, and I'd rather not renew with them because the service sucks, costs WAY too much for way too little, and pretty much doesn't fit with my life. I'm on a shared plan currently so this will be the first time that I've shopped for an individual cellphone plan. I currently pay anywhere from $50-55 depending on bill amount (since there are only two of us on this plan, I pay exactly half the bill), and I'd prefer to NOT pay any more than that. Pay as you go phones are also not an option for me as this phone will be a substitute for a landline. Here's what I'm looking for, plan-wise: - at least 1000 minutes [EDIT: Seeing as that's not terribly possible, I'm willing to go as low as 500.] - Text messaging (at least 250, but I'm not picky) - Ability to get online (I'm not looking for anything complicated. All I want to do is be able to download ringtones and check my email) As I said I'd prefer to not pay any more than $55. Any suggestions as to what provider could provide me with a plan that has these features, for that price? TIA
