We save a lot of change around here. I'm sort of a fanatic about it. I ask the hubs to never give a cashier the correct change, paper only, so that we always get change, which goes directly into a change jar at home. It adds up quickly, and I have not yet determined a way to turn it into paper money easily without losing some ala Coinstar. I don't mind rolling it. Do you think businesses would be happy to trade me rolled coins for paper cash? What about banks? Are they happy to do this, or is it frowned upon? The only super-easy way I've come up with is to separate the change into denominations, put it in ziploc bags, and take it to Las Vegas with me next time I roadtrip there so that I may take it into a casino where they can dump it into a coin counter and happily hand over the paper. Problem is, I don't think casinos have coin counters for pennies even though they have penny slots. Any thoughts?
