Any tips on getting a cheap roundtrip flight from FAI (Fairbanks, AK) to BWI (Baltimore, MD) or MDT (Harrisburg, PA)? I need to leave between 5/26 and 5/31 and return between 6/11 and 6/15. I’ve put in about five hours so far… I’ve tried different airline websites, as well as “the big three” travel sites (epedia, travelocity, orbitz). The best fare I’ve found so far is $662 or so.
I wouldn’t mind buying two tickets (such as a ticket from Fairbanks to Dallas and then a ticket from Dallas to Baltimore), but I don’t know what cities would be cheapest. I’ve already tried Dallas, Portland, Seattle, NY, and Chicago.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Maybe there’s a great travel site I’m missing, or someone’s had great experience buying tickets off ebay or something….
