Cheap ways to Entertain a Toddler on the Ice Planet Hoth
I know there have to be some other mothers here with toddlers, and at least a few people who live in the midwest or somewhere else with a serious snow problem 8-ish months out of the year. We are going completely stir crazy, and I need good ideas to entertain a squirrley little one. He's not walking independetly very well, so playing outside in the snow is tough, but we have a tiny house with only one room that he can really play in and he's getting cabin fever like mad. There are many toddler gyms, museums, free-play spaces and things like that available, if we could pay $3-5 per kid per visit which adds up to a lot when you're talking about a couple of times a week all winter long. There's only one indoor play area, and it's at the Mall. It's free, but it's across town and seriously... who wants to spend all winter at the frickin' MALL? I'd love ideas about where we could go to get out of the house and/or new and unusual toddler activites that the kidlet might like.
