Hi- I am going through a divorce and my ex has removed me from our bank account (he can legally do this as he was the primary account holder)– Anyway-
I have a bad banking history, however, I have paid in full letters from the 2 banks that I had problems with, and am now in good standing, as well as having been a member of my “current” (now non existent) bank for about 4-5 years.
I’m wondering if anyone knows what I need to do to open my own checking account? If I go somewhere and bring my letters, will that be enough? Thanks in advance for any advice!
