I was out in the backyard the other night at dusk, watering and watching the fireflies. Which was really neat for me coming from California I had never seen them! But I digress. I got a few bites of some sort around my ankles and am assuming that they are chigger bites? It definitely wasn’t mosquitoes. I have been doing some Google research and it seems that applying powdered garden sulfur is the way to go. The chiggers can’t stand it, it’s not a horrible chemical insecticide and is actually a type of garden amendment. Now for the questions! Assuming that it was chiggers and this is a good way to get rid of them, how do I apply the powder? Is there some sort of sprayer that I use? Would my local Lowes or Home Depot carry such an item? My neighbors dogs & cats wander around my yard, is it bad for them? I’m clueless! I am open to any and all suggestions. Thanks in advance!
