Chinese Lantern vs Deadly Nightshade

Chinese Lantern vs Deadly Nightshade

Yesterday I got a little bit suspicious of a giant plant, that I'd originally thought was one of the Chinese lanterns that I'd planted hogging up a lot of space in one area of my garden. Research determined it was deadly nightshade http://vegetablemdonline.ppath.cornell.edu/photopages/WeedHosts/EB_Nightshade.htm

I thought that taking some pictures of the two and posting them here might help someone at some point in time.

The interloper and his cousin's has been uprooted. Had I not noticed the difference in the stalks in that second photo he I wouldn't have caught on to the fact that he did not belong in there.

I hope the labels on the photos are not confusing. Since LJ changed something last week I've been having difficulties posting pix.
