So I’ve lived in the area for around 5 years, and in this house for 2, but this is the first year I’ve ever seen cicada wasp. Actually the first year in my life I’ve ever seen them. And I’m seeing them in large numbers(they actually keep running into my windows with a big THUMP!)
I understand they dig burrows, kill cicada’s then lay their eggs in the bodies in the burrows. But are they something I need to be concerned about? Something I should try to exterminate? Good bug, bad bug, or neutral bug? They seem to be hanging around the flowers mostly, and along the driveway where they dug holes.
