Having safely arrived home from our travels to the Great White Northland for Christmas, I thought I’d share some Southern Color for those with a hankerin’
Red Cherry Peppers (accidentally purchased last spring, and still going strong.
A few cherry tomatoes hanging out in the back, too.

An experiment, with any and all tips or suggestions welcome: It looks as though some grape tomatoes in my compost decided to sprout up like crazy. I’ve taken two such tomatoes, with the more-done compost, and put them in the window sill under some baggies for humidity. They’re in biopots (made from rice and such) so if they’re sucessful, I think I can break up the pot in the soil they end up in.

Any ideas on an ID for this guy? He likes shade, started about 4″ tall and is now more than 18″ with multiple stems.

My garlic shot up while I was gone – off for more pots and earth today to split each off into its own pot. The leafy vine is what’s left of my sweet potato vine, there’s a scraggly tomato off to the right, and some spinach and lettuce sprouts peeking in from the left.
