Hello.
So I plan to plant some corn soon. I mean of course not yet, since where I live in the shaded areas theres still a tad of snow. What I was wondering tho, when is the best time to plant corn in northern IL? A lot of my stuff I plan to start inside, but not the corn.
Where I use to live (30mins away in a city) some of my neighbors use to have corn growing on the side of there house.
Any tips as to growing corn?

I’m normally a brownthumb as I like to call it, since I usally kill all my house plants, so this is a big step from house plants to garden for me. I grew some tomato’s and bell peppers on my balcony the other year, they did okay, notn great, but I didn’t have much sunlight back then. Now I have four acres of open space to choose from where i’d like to plant stuff, so I’m trying for a lil bit more. I think I may have everything down except for what to do with the corn.
