Cost for wisdom teeth removal?
Okay, little background info: I don't have dental insurance... or any insurance to speak of at the moment. I will be looking into getting it for myself in the future (actually, I have a question about this as well) but first things first, and I'm sure other people in this community have been in my boat. My wisdom teeth are coming in. The last time I went to the dentist was about two years ago, when I found out one of my wisdom teeth were coming in sort of diagonally. Well, just recently, the tooth broke through the gums, and it's hurting like hell. There is not enough room in my mouth to let this come in, and since it's coming in crooked, it's pushing against my other teeth, causing pain whenever I bite down. My question is: how much should I expect to pay to have this taken care of, the actual removal and aftercare, blah blah blah? Second question: I'm looking into getting health insurance, but what things should I look and avoid? I'm already leaning towards paying a lower premium and higher co-pay because at most, I usually go to the doctor's 4 times a year. Any pros and cons or advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
