Couch help!

I have the most fantastic wall in my place. It’s wood paneled and tall, and it’s the perfect place to put my little craigslist find green reclining love seat. The problem is that it’s just SO tall, that my love seat will look dwarfed, and the eye won’t go up, which is an important thing in this tiny little living room. I know what you’re thinking, just put the love seat on a different wall. But I can’t. Because this is the opposite wall.

And this is the wall facing that wall (minus the love seat because the muscle of the house is at work and the love seat is still in the back of the truck in the driveway).

** Edit: The muscle came home, here’s a picture of the couch and the wall…**

Now. My question is this. I have fabulous sheer curtains that I’d like to somehow hang from the wall behind the love seat, but they can’t be directly behind the love seat because of the reclining factor. 1. Will this be high enough to draw the eye up? (The paintings that are there are only halfway up the wall, but close to where I need the eye to go). 2. Any brilliant ideas on how to execute this? 3. Any brilliant ideas on how to incorporate art into the curtains? 4. Any (free) ideas other than the curtains?

I know I can count on y’all! Thanks in advance.
