Coupons for Christmas and Hair Cuts
So, since I'm not handy or crafty at all (except at baking, but I've given baked goods as gifts so much) I've decided to start my Christmas shopping super early, employing coupons from popular stores. So far I've had a coupon for $10 worth of free candles from White Barn Candle company with another purchase, so I got my mom about $20 worth of really nice candles that she likes for only $10, and after I bought those, they gave me even more coupons that I intend to use for gifts for my friends. My best coupons that give me presents, though, are Victoria's Secret. If you sign up for one of their credit cards (which I got talked into because a good friend of mine works there) they send you coupons for the next 6 months. Each one is "Get this super expensive thing FREE" with the purchase of anything. Like the one for October, I could go buy a lipgloss and get a free Ipex. Awesome. Just throwing that out there; buy a lipgloss or lotion or something for a Christmas gift for someone, get some nice skivvies. That's what I'm doing. Otherwise, I'd still be wearing bras from like, three years ago. I also have a question that does not relate in anyway to my post thusfar. I'm growing my hair long, and I understand that it needs to be trimmed every few months to keep it healthy. Well, I can't spend $20 just to get my split ends lopped off. What are some options? I was thinking of getting a pair of hairstylist's sheers and doing it myself; I have layers so if I messed up, it probably wouldn't be noticable. Also, I was thinking of looking into a beauty school. Has anyone ever had a student cut their hair? Was your experience ok? My hair is starting to look really really ratty; I haven't had a trim since April.
