Please help me, I'm worried about my credit report being affected. I got a medical statement today from the doctor's office stating: "FINAL NOTICE ACCOUNT PENDING COLLECTION ACTION" at the bottom. Now, I realize the bill was originally sent to me in November. However end of last month I called the office and specifically told them I had the bill and would pay it as soon as the pending discrepancy was closed, specifically so this wouldn't happen. Of course, I get this statement today, 2/27, even though it's dated 2/10. I sent the payment in earlier this week, after I finally did receive notice that the discrepancy was taken care of. The payment hasn't been processed yet, according to my credit card company. I tried calling, but the jerks closed office before I got home, got my mail, and could call. I'm good about paying all my bills, and I'm afraid of anything bad going on my credit report. Please reassure me it's not too late, that my credit hasn't been affected yet! Or, if it has, please advise me on what to do! I'm afraid that once something goes on, it stays there, even if it's not justly supposed to be there.
