you can see what I’ve done to the front yard so far. the three bitty bushes in the front were spared because the holes they would have left would have been unsightly but they’ve been given nice haircuts so they aren’t as leggy. you can’t see all the mums up there where audrey* used to be but they’re filling in nicely and should be in full bloom here in a few days. in the meantime, the snapdragons and impatiens in the pots on the stoop are going great guns. I know the pots aren’t as bit as y’all meant for me to get, but it’s what Lowe’s had on sale at the time.
I started shaping the bushes along the foundation and got about halfway done before I went out of town. I decided to leave the azaleas alone since most people will know what they are, but I am cleaning out the poison ivy and honeysuckle that are in there. I just didn’t want to risk them dying from so much pruning.
