dormant or dead?

Back in April, I ordered an Oriental Poppy, which arrived in a dormant state. (Stick with roots in a bag.)

Certain that I had a dead plant, I posted here, and all of you assured me that the way it came was normal, and that it should start to show some signs of life in a few months or so. We planted it and have watered it, given it lots of sunshine, and even covered the soil in woodchips to retain moisture, just like the instructions that came with it said.

It looks like this:

April.

I have learned my lesson and know that Burpee has horrible customer service and that I should never, ever order from them. Still, does this have any hope of coming to life?
