Dwarf Meyer Lemon tree
A dwarf meyor Lemon tree was given to me as a gift. At the time, it had lemons on it about 6-8. The next year, everytime a new lemon would come up, it would immediately turn black and shrivel up. I took it out of the pot it was in and buried it in the ground with the hopes that the roots would expand and that wouls solve the problem. I am also feeding it a seaweed all purpose food, and nothing has worked. All my lemons grow for a couple days then turn black. There was one branch growing out of it that looked totally different than the rest. it had rather long sharp thorns coming off of it. I seperated it from the tree thinking it was sucking out the vital nutrients. I have not had a lemon start since then but I don't know what thats all about. Someone said maybe its because I don't have another lemon tree to pollenate it... Any ideas? Also my bell pepper plamts were producing peppers wonderfuly (I just planted them this spring so they are not very big), and the peppers would get maybe lemon size then start having brown mushy sots form on them in different places. Should I have picked them? Were they ready even though they were small? Thanks!
